As any year draws to a close, we inevitably start seeing “best of” lists pop up everywhere to remind us all what made the year that just passed particularly great. That said, in order to get a jump on things, The Zoe Report just did a wonderful recap of some of the biggest celebrity inspired hair trends of 2016.

Here are highlights of what hit the scene this year: 

Waist Length Hair
As much as we have witnessed celebrities cutting their hair this year, we also spotted celebrities with super long hair, including Kim Kardashian and Jourdan Dunn. Just proof that long sleek hair is always in style. 

Curls & Spirals
The natural hair movement is not slowing down as witnessed by several top celebrities deciding to embrace their natural texture. 

The Lob
In contrast to celebs opting for super long hair in 2016, there are many that went for the big chop this year. And, it looks like the long bob (or lob) has stolen some momentum from the popular bob.  

Bangs
All types are bangs are hot this year, so pick what looks great on you—whether that means blunt, side-swept, of long fringe bangs.
